I am a Giant in the Game
This past Saturday July the 24Th was the Mike Giant Rebel8 tee shirt release Party held Barracuda on melrose. This event was great Mike Giant got his name Skating when he was young and he fell while skating and his friends said you fell like a giant but he is truly a Giant in the modern art scene. he is a well known Tattoo, graffiti , graphic artist .The event has attended by wide arrange of celebrities including Paul wall and Estevan Oriol.Barracuda walls were cover with Giants art which as always was real original. Mike giant is a phenomenal artist who is more than personable i could nt get a picture with him because he was too busy signing autographs everything from Fitteds to skateboards.I couldn't get the pic not because he wouldn't take one with me but because I didn't want to bother him nor wait for the opportunity. He was a real guy and for a guy named Giant he truly believes that you are never too big for your fans.

Mishief in Miricle Mile
I havent blogged in awhile but I have a bunch of interesting things to inform you about.First is the Miricle Mile artwalk which is held Quaterly unlike DTLA and Fairfax which is monthly. The Miricle Mile art walk is a event that is spread threw out the Mid wilshere district with various galleries threw out Beverly fairfax and la brea. the event was so large it had a shuttle taking people to various galleries.the one interestingfeature of this art was the fact that the LACMA had free admission.i apprecitae art but Musuems are not my scene its too stuffy and I feel like on a field trip.I left musuem and went to one of the many opening receptions.I went Icon Gallery which started out good but turned very bitter. Icon gallery which is photography gallery had a reception for a artist who covered the tour de frace Me being a cyclist enjoyed the art but I cant stand the people who run the gallery. was enjoying the art making new friends enjoying the free wine and cheese I guess I enjoyed it too much they asked me to leave becuase I eat too much cheese.I soon left and headed to Lizs Loft On Labrea where they had a great reception hosted by Bear flag wine and had great collection of art.all and all the art was different and fun I saw some great art and met some great people and then I met some people who give art a bad name. PS dont go to Icon Gallery they are lame.

Fairfax Flava
This past saturday I found myself with alot things to do and not enough time to fit all in.There was so much going on. Little tokyo Had it popin with Archrival/Blackscale collabo tee release party at Archrival shout out to them sorry couldnt make it I am going post a feature on them soon. Across the street @ Hold up Gallery was the event Fashion is Art 2 .then at the Downtown Idependent movie theature premired the OL Dirty Bastard Documentry and the unvieling of the Rza new album cover. Finally there was the Fairfax Art walk. Which is a event that is held every 2nd Saturday of each month. My plan was to start out at the art walk check it out and hop to some of the other events but sometimes in life yours plans get messed up for the better and this was one of those times. I love Fairfax it has the best strip of shops resturants and most recently discovered the art galleries. the best thing about Fairfax is that you can expect the unexpected I started my night just expecting to go the art walk but before I got there I noticed that Diamond Supply along with DVS skate Shoes were throwing a release party and decided to check it out. It was not long that i got there that I was surrounded by Homies. The party was live It had a full Bar and a beer Pong tourney.I caught up the homies Marcus,Ari and Big Juice had a couple of beers I proceded to Norman Maxwell Gallery. Norman Maxwell is an artist who orgainizes the art walk He has a gallery On fairfax right next to Golden State Restruant. He makes some amazing art and brings in Phenominal young talented musicians. I told you before I wanted to just stop but this place had so much flava I couldnt leave the music was so good and original along with the art it created the perfect environment for me to enjoy myself. I stayed the whole night and my soul got what it needed some great music, art, people, and most of all culture.
